A harness for certain models of Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X that lack a regular OBD-II connector, but have a diagnostics port instead. With this adapter, a bridge is created with an OBD-II port, for connecting e.g. OBD-II transmitters with connection to LED driving lights.

Note that this adapter wiring is not required for all models of Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X, but only those cars that don’t have an OBD-II connection. This can only be determined with a physical check of the car. The diagnostic port is often under the large touch screen in the car.

The CAN BUS receiver is synchronized to a CAN BUS transmitter, XBB Dongle, for activation of LED auxiliary lights. Up to 4 XBB PowerUnits can be connected to 1 XBB Dongle. The XBB PowerUnit can be programmed via an app from XBB (works with both Google Android and Apple iOS).

The CAN BUS receiver, XBB PowerUnit, has a maximum load of 15A on output 1 and 5A on output 2.
